Environmental disasters are sweeping Indonesia, especially Java should be increasingly open eyes and hearts, whether we've been good at managing the environment. This environmental disaster is necessary to find the root of the problem, anticipated, and find a way out. We must not surrender by saying that environmental disasters such as floods, landslides, and even the hot mudflow in Sidoarjo is a natural cycle that is detached from human actions and we can not cope. All of that is the result of our actions, as human beings. Concretely, these disasters come from the wrong policy is accompanied by the wrong people's behavior as well. Furthermore, the actual science and technology, which has tended to mechanistic, reductive and antroposentik, has also given the role of environmental disaster.

The wrong policy

Development policies issued by the government apparently still hesitant in the environment. Outstanding actions are hesitant in Javanese culture, is often set to be a decision "not so". From this incident we should learn, it turns out the wrong policy resulted in economic loss is enormous. Are we still hesitate to preserve our environment?

Incorrect Behavior Society

Paradigm Green Movement (Green Paradigm)

On that basis, then it is time to find the root of the problem and find solutions in the face of such environmental disasters. Problem solving environmental disaster is not just stop at the level of communication and coordination, but require a movement aimed at changing the policies and behavior to better observe and maintain the environment. The movement was named Paradigm Green (Green Paradigm). This movement is tipped in an effort to develop the theory of science and environmental policy, as well as lead to the behavior of an environmentally friendly society. This movement can be regarded as reformulation and contextualization of the Ecology Movement-In (Deep Ecology), which has been raised by scientists at the Overseas Affairs.

This movement is based on the thought "If we act mediocre without the painstaking efforts and thorough in maintaining our environment, pollution and damage that inevitably lead to environmental disaster will increasingly fast moving and destroy us".

Layout

It is undeniable upstream of environmental problems (Environmental Disaster) is a chaotic layout. All of these problems stem from the spatial structure that is incompatible with the principles and essence of environmentally sound development. Floods in Jakarta (current case) stems from the transfer functions of water catchment areas in Bogor and its surrounding areas. Landslides in Banjarnegara originated from production forests over the function on it. Hot mudflow Sidoarjo also originated from mining activities which do not pay attention to spatial planning and EIA. Likewise, the environmental disasters that others, everything can be prevented and minimized with good spatial and consistent.

For that reason, efforts to look back on the island of Java Spatial Plan and re-examine the environmental aspects that need to be integrated in it to be very strategic to do. This needs to be done immediately before the issuance of Government Regulation on Spatial Island in Indonesia.

City Developments

In natural and man-made all the cities will grow like living organisms to support life. Small towns will grow into medium towns, large and metropolitan. Likewise, any Metropolitan city will grow into Megapolitan. In Java there are two cities that are undergoing development into a city Megapolitan (Megalopolitan) ie Jakarta and Surabaya. The development was caused by the space demands of urban population growth and also needs a more integrated management and mutual support with the area around.

Review the environmental aspects of mega developments is indispensable in efforts to build environmentally sustainable cities in Indonesia. City of Jakarta and Surabaya should be encouraged to be an environmentally sound mega.

Moral Environment

Indonesia morals, now it is very worrying as a cause of environmental degradation and disaster. Anthropocentric view and attitude of materialistic hedonism has poisoned the people of Indonesia, which resulted in the pursuit of materialism and worldly pleasures only. Whereas the people of Indonesia should use the philosophy of establishment in culture and religion that exist in Indonesia. The size of the welfare of living in view of the greater emphasis on satisfying basic needs of life (food, clothing, shelter), and override the wishes of excessive material.Similarly, in the view of religion, there is no doctrine to be greedy, be fair to all living beings and maintain the natural surroundings. Welfare measures in the context of religion is more directed at the inner and outer peace.

Assessing the back and apply in the present life, the moral environment, a very basic thing to be able to be a driving force in efforts to rebuild a harmonious relationship with nature.
